Keeping our body healthy is essential to achieve a good quality of life. There are exercises as well as natural therapies that contribute to having it. We will talk to you about lymphatic drainage.
First of all, we must explain what is lymph? It is a clear liquid that runs through the lymphatic vessels, these are thin channels that transport waste and immune system cells. They are important because they are responsible for protecting us from diseases and infections and also function as a system for cleaning and draining tissues towards blood circulation.
The body produces about 3 liters of lymph per day that is gradually incorporated into the blood. If a lymphatic vessel is blocked, the fluid accumulates in the affected area, causing swelling. The truth is that keeping our lymphatic system healthy is not that simple, mainly due to our busy lifestyle. A sedentary lifestyle, a diet poor in nutrients and abundant in toxins, as well as environmental pollution are some of the reasons why it could collapse. For this reason it is important to get the lymph moving. Some of the advantages are:
– Excrete toxins from the body
– Reduce cellulite
– Strengthen the immune system
– Strengthen the nervous system
– Lose weight
– Improve skin tone
– Contribute to blood circulation
We suggest some exercises that can contribute to better circulation of this liquid.
