Steam bath and its benefits

SAUNA VS STEAM ROOM BENEFITS: WHICH IS BETTER FOR YOU?

The steam bath or blood washing is a therapy that seeks to improve the quality of the circulatory system and the activity of the nervous system, which is responsible for controlling the nutrition and elimination functions in the body. The treatment is ideal to detoxify your body.

The internal organs of the digestive system are warm due to the frequency with which blood flows. It is common to see a hot stomach and cold extremities in sick people, so activating circulation and getting blood to the entire body can help in recovery.

The steam bath is ideal for regulating temperature throughout the body and eliminating toxins, the process is simple; Bring the skin to a warm temperature and apply cold water ablutions, some of the most popular techniques are:

steam drawer

This utensil covers the entire body, except the head, it is connected to a steam machine which helps to maintain the temperature easily, it can be very large to keep at home.

Chair and steam

To perform this therapy at home you need:

  • Find a draft-free space
  • A chair, preferably wooden, is where you sit
  • Boiling water, in a container that fits under the chair, this is the steam that will warm your skin
  • Blankets or sheets to cover your body (except for your head) and prevent steam from escaping

Once the material is ready, sit naked on the steam for 3 to 4 minutes, apply a cold water ablution (without drying) and repeat this process 8 times to finish with a cold water shower. Remember not to dry your body, just your head.

Nettle

This is a great option for those who do not have the material for the last two methods. The objective is to rub the entire body with nettle until it is warm, cover yourself for a few seconds and continue with the application of cold water. Repeat the entire process 6 times.

Sunbaths

This treatment is very simple and revitalizing, the ideal is to do it in the morning before noon. Unlike the previous methods, it is done lying down (not sitting) so that the heat arrives evenly, the steps to follow are:

  1. Lie in the sun naked with your head in shadow
  2. Cover your body with a light sheet
  3. Rest under the rays for 5-15 minutes
  4. Apply cold water abduction, without drying
  5. Repeat 6 to 8 times
  6. Shower with cold water

If the sun is very powerful, cover delicate areas such as tumors, ulcers or inflammation with leaves and mud.
