Cempasúchil: benefits and alternative ways to use it

At the end of our traditional and colorful Day of the Dead, not everything is for the trash, because after you read this post you will want to even sow it.

Remember to save Cempasúchil flower! :)

The marigold flower guards the sun's rays or at least that was what the ancient inhabitants of Malinalco believed, who used this flower as an offering for the dead in ceremonial centers and altars of this Mesoamerican and multicultural city.

Due to the intense ranges of orange that this annual flower radiates, it really seems to contain the sun's rays. It also has a particularly stimulating and intense aroma that, it is believed, guides the dead on their transcendental march to the other world.

But in addition to the fascinating ritual use given to the flower of the dead in Mexico, the truth is that cempasuchil can be used in many other ways. Some involve the treatment of illnesses that are common at this time of year, such as the cold, which demonstrates the inherent wisdom of nature since marigolds are harvested in October and November.
